For Spring / Summer 2014, ALDO continues its spirit of giving: Give me ALDO when the spring comes and give me ALDO when the summer shines. Give me shoes, give me colour, give me style, give me glamour. Give me Lindsey Wixson’s glorious gap-toothed grin. Give me a stripped-down world made of white: white backdrops and white styling that spotlight smiles and celebrate shoes, which this season take centre stage like never before. We’ve made campaign stars out of a few favourites, like colour pops, sportswear-inspired designs and luxe summer casuals.
For SS2014, ALDO brings the Give me ALDO world into the light as the bright, sunny yang to the cool, dark yin of last fall. Visually inspired by the iconic 80’s and 90’s pop culture, this campaign brims with the kind of energy, enthusiasm and clever optimism that recalls the work of Oliviero Toscani. Adding mischief and colour to fashion images brings Give me ALDO to life with our leading ladies Lindsey Wixson, Ming Xi and Camille Rowe, with Simon Nessman and Eric Ramos as our handsome guests.
This season, film duo, Tania et Vincent show off how our shoes are ready for their close-up: their campaign films for Blue Valentine and Colour Pops star ALDO shoes cavorting with Lindsey and crew in a bold cut-out world of surrealist collage infused with Tania et Vincent’s trademark irreverence. Here, the white-on-white campaign look gets accented by California artist Steven Harrington, who adds his touch of trippy, poppy visuals to the Give me ALDO world in motion.
