It’s been forever since I last did a mani Monday post and tonight I decided that instead of doing a post on all the red / pink / Valentine’s Day-inspired nail art that I have seen over the last two days on social media, I wanted to rather show you my new mani obsession – nude minimalist nails!

Minimalist nails have really intrigued me over the last two months and after pinning a few pretty designs on my Pinterest Nails board, more and more swoon-worthy designs started cropping up in my feed – thank you to the algorithm. Part of the appeal of these manis is that your nails are left mostly bare with only a tiny bit of nude nail polish painted over your nail as a base, and patterns or designs are used as a finishing touch to your mani. There are also some minimalist designs that use a nude colour as a base and with either a navy or grey as the accent colour on the individual nails.

My absolute favourite minimalist manis are the geometric shapes that are designed on nude nails. A lot of the designs I have seen are in fact simply nail wraps, but others have been done by some seriously talented nail artists with nail art brushes. I haven’t tried any of these designs myself, but the half moon ones are definitely a design I want to rock one night when I go out.
