By now I’m sure you’ve either seen the never-ending queue outside the Play With Oreo Pop-Up Café in Rosebank at The Zone, or you’ve heard people talking about the queue. I had two pharmacists at Dischem ask me last week whether I knew what the queue and hype was all about.
This unique and playful café is a guaranteed to bring out your inner child! How do Oreo chocolate fudge, Oreo cookie monster cupcakes, rocking Oreo white chocolate cheesecakes, and dreamy Oreo chocolate truffles sound? These are just some of the treats on offer at the café. And to wash that down, take your pick from the likes of a glass of milk, an americano, and a cappuccino to name a few.
Once you’ve indulged in the delish menu, take part in some of the fun-tivities in store. Dream up amazing Oreo Selfie art at the Oreo decoration station by choosing from a multitude of miniature and edible props, and create your own Cookie Characters. There are three miniature Oreo photo-studios where you can style your Oreo for awesome mini photo opportunities. Additionally, there are life-size backdrops to take your own playful selfies, or simply take five on the Oreo see-saw or swing or café tables, and relish in the playful spirit of the café.
The café also hosts a boutique Oreo store where you – the mega fans – can purchase limited-edition Oreo merchandise and memorabilia.
If you’ve not yet experienced the fun that is guaranteed at this pop-up café, make sure you get to the café before it closes on 17 May 2015. The café is open 7 days a week, from 10:00 to 20:00.
