L’Oreal has some pretty awesome products overseas – especially amazing ones that never seem to make it to the shores of South Africa, like the L’Oreal Color Riche Balm. I’m always on the lookout for new lip products (I can’t leave a shop without a new one) and I first noticed this balm when bloggers posted pics of it on Instagram. I really wanted to see what the fuss was all about so I ordered myself the Pink Satin one from Amazon for $6 (about R66 a few months back), and within a few days it was on my doorstep.

I can’t get through the day without applying lip balm so this one in particular has been used a number of times – especially when my lips are super dry from lipsticks or lip pencils that are quite pigmented. If I’ve had enough of lipstick for the day, I just carry on applying this.

This yummy-smelling balm gives my lips a shiny pink tint, soothes them instantly and continues soothing them for a few hours after application. I am really happy with this purchase and don’t leave the house without it. For the life of me I don’t understand why it isn’t sold in SA? I would buy tons more in different shades! If it ever does make it this side, ladies grab one while you can!
