April favourites

I’ve seen a few bloggers do posts on products they’ve really enjoyed and I wanted to share some my April favourites with you. These are the products I really enjoyed using this last month and were generally the first that I would grab.

Revlon Primer (Perfecting Primer)

This primer is amazing! I did a post on it a little while back and am obsessed with it! It’s quickly become an important part of my make-up routine every day. If you didn’t see my review you can view it here.

Nivea Express Hydration Hand Cream

I bought this a while back and kind of forgot I had it and have recently rediscovered it all over again. I love the fact that it sinks into my skin really quickly and doesn’t leave an oily residue. I hate having to wait for a cream’s oily residue to disappear before I can touch anything or do anything. This cream also has a great smell that is so uniquely a Nivea one. It may not be rich enough to use in winter but is definitely a great lighter cream for summer.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Lip Protectant

This first time I tried this product was when I received a sample tube in the Glamour magazine. I hadn’t used it before and was excited to try it out. It was love at first sweep across my lips! Some people don’t like the smell but I personally like it. The balm leaves my lips feeling cared for, moisturised and protected. I can’t get enough of it and carry it with me everywhere!

Avon Cashmere Advanced Foundation (Natural Beige)

I don’t like foundations that feel heavy on my skin and leave me aware of the fact that I’m wearing foundation during the day. This foundation feels like cashmere on my skin when I apply it! (Just be careful near your eyes as it tends to burn a little when applying it too close to them). After application I’m left with a pore-free and line-free complexion and my skin feels and looks perfect all day! I usually put the primer under it but you don’t have to. It hasn’t irritated my skin or caused any breakouts which is a huge bonus for me. It also has SPF 15 protection.

L’Oreal Super Liner Perfect Slim (Intense Black)

This is the ONLY liquid liner I have used and managed to do winged eyes that come out almost perfect – without redoing them a hundred times. The sharp nib is like a felt-tip pen and very easy to use. The liquid liner is longwearing and at the end of the day my lines still look relatively unsmudged. I lost the first liner I had and was distraught because I couldn’t find another one. Luckily I finally found another one at Dis-chem (I’m not sure if they were limited edition?). If you are looking for a liquid liner that is easy to use to get that great winged eye then this is the one to get!

Revlon Color Burst Lacquer Balm (Vivacious)

I love bright colours on my lips! When the lacquer balms launched I couldn’t decide which colour to try out. I finally chose Vivacious and am really happy with its rich colour and high shine on my lips. The texture is creamy and it applies easily. The only downside is that they don’t stay on your lips for very long if you are eating or drinking. These lacquer balms have a triple butter complex of shea, coconut and mango butters which leave your lips feeling nourished – perfect for these dry months.

L’Oreal Mega Volume Miss Manga Mascara (Black)

This mascara is amazing! I have already finished the first one I bought and have moved on to my second one already. My lashes are already long and once I have coated this mascara over them they look amazing and my eyes look bigger. The brush is easy to use and the tip is perfect for reaching into the corner of my eyes when applying it. I have found that when the mascara starts getting a little older it does tend to clump a bit, but that can be easily fixed with a pin (carefully put the point between clumped lashes and slide it from the roots to tips to split lashes apart).
