I’d heard about this book series at the beginning of last year but hadn’t had a chance to read up on it. When the movie came to cinemas I watched the trailer and was very excited to see the movie and read the book. I always try to read the book first but sometimes don’t quite get it right in that order and end up watching the movie first. I love absolutely love fantasy books and movies! I bought the book and started reading it one Saturday morning. I found myself hooked instantly and battled to put it down. The book is very easy to read and the content reminded me a lot of the series Charmed which I have been a huge fan of. Who wouldn’t enjoy getting lost in the world of the Shadowhunters?
I didn’t get to finish reading the book before our trip overseas and ended up watching the movie on the flight to Singapore. The movie was good but no where near as great as the book and how I had imagined things. Isn’t that always the case? I am now looking forward to getting my hands on the next book (there are 6 in this series and a spin-off) and seeing how the story continues. I seem to have developed quite the soft spot for Jace…
