I’ve tried a few different BB creams and this one is definitely my go-to one at the moment. I’d tried Garnier BB cream quite a while back when it first launched and I managed to get some in Singapore. I was really impressed with the product (sad when I finished the one I had bought) and elated when it finally came to SA too. While standing in Dischem the other day I couldn’t decide which of the 3 Garnier BB creams to get. I was torn between this one and the Pure Active Anti-Imperfection one for problem skin. The first thing that drew me to this BB cream was the fact that it is oil free and non comedogenic, which is great for combination to oily skin like mine. After wearing it for a whole day it hasn’t once irritated my skin or caused a breakout. A lot of other BB creams have let me down because they leave my skin with a shiny finish after wearing them for just over an hour. The great thing about this BB cream is that it applies easily, sinks in quickly, mattifies my skin and leaves me with a smooth and luminous finish. After wearing it for a few hours my make-up is still in place and looks freshly applied. There have been occasions where my skin has started to shine after a while, but that hasn’t happened very often. I’ve very conscious of protecting my skin from the sun and am really happy that this BB cream is SPF 20. I don’t usually apply any foundation or powder after this BB cream because it gives me enough coverage.
This BB cream is a miracle skin perfector all-in-one:
– anti-shine, non-stop mattifying
– blurs pores & imperfections
– evens tone & boosts healthy glow
– moisturises
– UV protection – SPF 20
It also has some pretty impressive claims:
– pores appear less visible for 84% of women
– imperfections (redness, spots, acne marks…) appear minimised for 76% of women
So if your skin is combination to oily, sensitive and prone to breakouts like mine, this is definitely the BB cream for you!
Oooh, this sounds like a goodie! I wasn’t a fan of the first BB cream Garnier launched (too dewy and sheer for me), but I have the Pure Active one and I’m really enjoying it. Definitely plan on getting my hands on this one next – sounds like a goodie! Great review!
Thanks Chereen. Would love to hear what you think of it once you’ve tried it
