2 products I really fell in love with in 2013 (and can’t live without) are the Moroccanoil Treatment and Chanel Le Volume mascara.

The Moroccanoil Treatment has been praised for quite some time now and after I had tried the cheaper versions, which are not bad at all, I still longed to see what all the hype was about. I was lucky enough to receive a sample bottle at an event earlier in the year which I decided to use sparingly. I have wavy hair and have quite a bit of colour in it so my hair needed TLC urgently. The first thing I noticed about the Moroccanoil Treatment was its amazing smell . Not only did I notice it, people who have smelt my hair in passing have also complimented me on it. Secondly I noticed that I really didn’ t need to use much of the oil on my hair, unlike the cheaper versions which I tend to have to use a fair amount more. I either apply the oil to my hair after washing it and leave my hair to dry naturally – the great thing about the oil is it stops my hair from frizzing – or I apply it after I’ve blowdried or straightened it, smoothing all flyaways and adding a bit more shine. The oil is pricey but I treated myself to a large bottle last year for my birthday and I am happy to say it is worth every cent. It also comes in a small bottle which is great for when you travel so I purchased one of those too and have taken it with on a few trips. There are two different oils depending on whether you are blonde or a brunette so be sure to ask the stylist/salesperson which one is right for you. You can find the full Moroccanoil range at most hair salons.

Last year I attended a Chanel pop up shop with friends and we went home with goodie bags filled with products in sample sized treats. One of those treats was a sample of the Le Volume Mascara. I hadn’t tried the mascara immediately but friends of mine who had gone with me had and were raving about it. I have to say after the first time I used it I was completely hooked! The wand and bristles are designed in such a way that it’s super easy to apply the mascara, which really left my long lashes looking even longer! I instantly fell in love with Le Volume so I made sure I got one at duty free when I flew overseas in December. It is also a pricey product but worth it if you want to experience the ultimate lashes it leaves you with.
