Towards the end of last year I was introduced to a wellness spa in Johannesburg called Urban Bliss, which doesn’t offer you the usual standard wellness spa menu, but rather a bespoke one that has been carefully developed to bring your body back to balance so that after your session, you leave feeling relaxed, restored, and re-energised.
The spa really is a tranquil haven, which leaves you feeling like you’ve left the bustling city as soon as you step through the front door. When I visited the wellness spa, I got to meet the owner, Ayesha Rajah, in person and found out more about her passion for wellness, which is something close to her heart. Life seems to be increasingly busy and fast-paced, and Ayesha has studied the wellness trends quite closely. Finding balance in our lives is something that most of us are searching for, and Urban Bliss realises that each and everyone of the people who visit the wellness spa have different needs, so they offer personalised treatments based on your needs, concerns, and outcomes you want to achieve with your facials, body wraps and even massages. Urban Bliss’ philosophy is to fuse the latest modern technologies with the ancient art of relaxation through treatments that aim to create wellness by dedicated and trained professionals.
Each of the treatment rooms in the spa are themed, and upon entry you can be whisked away to one of the most exciting cities in the world, like New York or Tokyo. As I’ve mentioned in another spa review I did last year, I love attention to detail, and Ayesha has really gone out of her way to make sure that you feel pampered and relaxed, as well as in good hands. I was lucky enough to be treated to a quick facial, and then snacks and tea, during which Ayesha showed us some of the great products that are used as part of the treatments at the spa – from brands such as Phytomer, Priori, Skin Doctors, and Guinot.
How does a ‘Sea Water Massage’ using a warm sea water concentrate, which will leave you feeling refreshed like you have had a dip in the ocean sound? This sea water concentrate felt amazing on my skin! Medi-Aesthetics services together with IPL Permanent Hair removal, Skin Rejuvenation, Vein Cautery (Face) and Pigmentation are incorporated into Urban Bliss’ holistic approach. They even offer you the option to take part in a Pilates or Yoga session on the pool deck in order to take your mind and soul into deeper relaxation.
Urban Bliss have an exclusive offer for my readers, so don’t miss out on taking advantage of it, and enjoying some time at this tranquil spa. You can contact them on 011 486 0512 to make your booking. I really enjoyed my time at the spa and would recommend you make a booking and experience a treatment there for yourself. You can also keep up to date on their news on Facebook.
