In September I did a post about Brooke Shields teaming up with MAC for a beauty icon collection. I was so excited for that to land in stores! I got an email to say the range was now available and went to a MAC store straight after work. They told me the range wouldn’t arrive for another week. I thought about buying it online, but wanted to swatch the shades to see what they were like before I bought it.
I waited patiently (well as patiently as I could) for the next Friday to finally arrive. I couldn’t leave work to head out to the MAC store to purchase the range, but luckily my mom and brother were able to head to Rosebank and get me the last Brooke Shields palette. I was ecstatic! They sent me this pic as a preview of what was waiting for me that night.
This palette has so many gorgeous colours to choose from – some matte and some with a shimmer. Brooke Shields did a fantastic job of putting these together! I use a lot of browns for my eye make-up and this palette gave me such a great selection of colours to play with. The colours blend amazingly and last all day. Choose a natural look for during the day and a more dramatic look for an evening out. This Brooke Shields palette costs R1200 and is worth every cent considering you get 15 eyeshadow colours to enjoy!
I also decided to treat myself and get the Brooke Shields Lipglass (R280) and chose Artful. (When do I ever say no to a coral lip colour?) Artful is a soft coral shade that smells yummy, isn’t sticky, lasts for a few hours, and has pigment in it. I either wear it alone or over a lip crayon or lip pencil.
I am so lucky I managed to get these products because the MAC stores don’t carry much stock of limited edition ranges. Thank you Brooke Shields and MAC for this fabulous collection!
